Mr. Gul is the founder and Managing Director of Synergy Law Corporation. He is a seasoned litigator with extensive experience in a broad range of areas acting in all levels of the Singapore Courts. He is also regularly instructed by numerous law firms to act as counsel on their clients’ behalf in High Court trials/appeal and/or Court of Appeal matters.
He hails from the UK and is a British trained Barrister-at-law. Since arriving on these shores, some 23 years ago, he has gained a wealth of experience in numerous areas of law. He cut his teeth working in a small general practice firm doing a variety of areas of law such as family law, criminal law, construction, corporate/commercial law, and defamation to name but a few; and worked alongside a prominent human rights lawyer. He then moved on to one of the top four premier Singapore law firms, Wong Partnership LLP, under the mentorship of eminent Senior Counsels gaining top-tier experience in high-end complex litigation. With that valuable and extensive experience under his belt, he ventured to set up his own boutique firm which has been devoted to serving clients for the past decade and a half.
Mr Gul is also a great believer in giving back to the community. He regularly does pro bono work and volunteers with the Legal Aid Bureau as well as at the Community Justice Centre in the State Courts and Supreme Court.
He is also a Commissioner for Oaths and Notary Public. He has also been appointed by the Honourable Chief Justice to sit as a member of the Inquiry Panel.
